Day 1. Hanoi – Thai Nguyen – Ba Be Lake (L, D) ~250km

Breakfast at the hotel.

8:00 AM: Our guide and driver will meet you, and you’ll depart for Ba Be National Park. There will be several stops along the way to see green tea fields and rice paddies.

Lunch will be served at a local restaurant.

Upon arrival at Ba Be National Park, you’ll hike through the park to the village of Pac Ngoi.

Check in to the homestay. You’ll have free time to rest or take a walk around the village.

Dinner and overnight stay at the homestay.

Day 2. Ba Be – Boat Trip – Cao Bang City – Phia Thap (B, L, D) ~150km

Breakfast at the homestay.

You will take a boat excursion on Ba Be Lake, the largest natural lake in Northern Vietnam. You will visit Dau Dang Waterfall and An Ma Temple. Afterwards, you will walk from the temple back to the pier, where your driver will meet you for the transfer to Cao Bang.

Note: You may also swim in the lake if you wish.

Lunch will be served at a local restaurant.

You will arrive at the Mountain of God’s Eye (Núi Mắt Thần). You will take a short walk around the area to take photos and admire the poetic landscapes of the region.

Transfer to Phia Thap Incense Stick village. The villagers here specialize in making incense sticks. You can help them prepare or collect the sticks.

Note: You may also stroll through the village to observe the production process or assist the locals.

Dinner and overnight stay at a homestay (basic comfort).

Day 3: Phia Thap – Ban Gioc Waterfall – Nguom Ngao Cave – Phia Thap (B, L, D) ~150km

Breakfast at the homestay.

You will then travel to the Sino-Vietnamese border to discover Ban Gioc Waterfall, one of the four largest transnational waterfalls in the world.

Next, you will visit Ban Gioc Pagoda. From there, you can admire a part of the waterfall and the surrounding landscapes.

Transfer to Nguom Ngao Cave, located only 3 km from the falls. It is the most beautiful cave in the region, famous for its many stalactites and stalagmites.

Return to Phia Thap village. En route, visit Phuc Sen village, known for the manufacture of knives and forged tools.

Arrive at the incense stick village late in the afternoon.

Optional Activity: For adventurers in good physical condition, and if the weather permits, you can climb to the top of the mountain to admire the landscapes and surrounding mountain ranges. (Difficult level)

Dinner and overnight stay at the homestay (basic comfort).

Day 4: Phia Thap – Lang Son – Hanoi (B, L) ~300km

With guide – With transport.

Breakfast at the homestay.

You will return to Phuc Sen village. You will then hike for about 1.5 hours to Lung Ri village, known for its traditional tile making. You will visit workshops and discover the steps involved in this craft.

Afterward, transfer in the direction of Lang Son.

Stop at Dong Khe to see the historical remnants of the 1950 battle on Colonial Route 4 (RC4).

Lunch will be served at a local restaurant.

Afternoon Drive back to Hanoi.

Arrive in Hanoi late in the afternoon. Check in to your hotel.

Free time to rest.

Dinner is on your own, and accommodation for the night is at your expense.
