DAY 1 : HANOI ARRIVAL – CITY TOUR (L)

Welcome to Hanoi – the capital of Vietnam!

After landing and immigration procedure, Tradition Viet Travel’s tour guide and driver are waiting for you to pick up and take a 45-minute transfer to your hotel in Hanoi old quarter (check in time after 14.00)

Starting to visit the Ho Chi Minh memorial complex where the body of the “great father of nation” is preserved. Then nearby is Presidential Palace – a very nice colonial style architecture, the house on stilts where HCM lived and worked, walking to the small bridge to see the fish pond will lead you to the One Pillar Pagoda – an ancient Buddhist temple and cultural significance in Hanoi.

After lunch, we will explore a thousand-year architecture work, the first university of Vietnam: The temple of Literature built in 1070. This is also a temple to worship Confucius. Next is the Hoa Lo Prison, known as the Hanoi Hilton, built by the French colonialist and later North Vietnamese used it for American prisoners of war.

Then, you’ll take a walking tour of Hanoi’s Old Quarter, exploring its typical neighborhoods. We’ll stop at the famous Train Street to see locals’ daily activities right next to the railway.

Afterward, you’ll return to your hotel for some free time to relax.

DAY 2 : HANOI – TRANSFER TO SAPA – CAT CAT VILLAGE (B, L)

Breakfast at the hotel.

06:30 – 06:45 You will be picked up from your hotel in Hanoi Old Quarter and board a shared limousine van for a 6-hour journey to Sapa with rest stops along the way.

13:00 – Arrive in Sapa Town, meet your local guide and enjoy a Vietnamese lunch featuring regional specialties.

After lunch, we will take a short drive to the entrance of Cat Cat Village, home to the Black H’mong ethnic community. Located in a deep valley at the foot of Fansipan Peak, the village offers a glimpse into traditional life.

Follow your guide on a scenic 2-hour trek (approximately 3.5 km) down to the valley floor where you’ll visit a picturesque waterfall and the remains of a French-built hydraulic power station.

You’ll return to your hotel for some free time to relax.

Have your own dinner. Overnight in Sapa

DAY 3 : FANSIPAN – MOANA (B, L)

Breakfast at the hotel.

08:00 Take a short drive to the cable car station and enjoy a scenic 20-minute ride up the mountain.

At the summit, you’ll have two options to reach Fansipan Peak (3,143m), famously known as the “Roof of Indochina”:

Climb 600 stone steps or Take the funicular train (optional, self-paid at approx. $6 USD per person per way)

Return to Sapa for lunch.

In the afternoon, you will visit Sapa town and its interesting sites, such as Sapa Church and Sapa daily market. Enjoy your free time to stroll through the town center, Sun Plaza building & shop for souvenirs and local handicrafts.

Have your own dinner. Overnight in Sapa

DAY 4: TREK TO LAO CHAI – TA VAN – TRANSFER TO HANOI (B, L)

Breakfast at the hotel.

After breakfast, check out and depart to discover Sapa by an easy trekking along thê Muong Hoa valley. Visit the Hmong village in Lao Chai, then follow the trek route surrounded by the rice fields to Ta Van, the village of the Zay people. Visit homes and meet locals to better understand their customs and life.

Enjoy lunch in Ta Van Village

Transfer to Hanoi. Arrive in Hanoi in the late afternoon and check into your hotel. You will have free time to rest and relax.

Dinner is at your own expense, and you will stay overnight in Hanoi

DAY 5: HANOI – NINH BINH – HANOI (B, L)

Breakfast at the hotel.

8.00 Pick-up from your hotel and transfer to Ninh Binh.

After a 2-hour drive along highway No 1, arriving in Hoa Lu – the ancient capital of Vietnam in the 11th century. Discover the beauties and the histories of 2 king temples: Dinh King Temple and Le King temple.

Moving to Tam Coc area for a Sampan boat trip along the Ngo Dong river which is a colorful rice field in the harvest season among Karst mountain ranges. The rowing boat will lead you to the gorgeous landscapes and throughout the 3 grottoes (Tam is three and Coc is grotto). Back to the pier after 1.5 – 2 hours in the rowing boat trip and enjoy a lunch at a local restaurant.

After lunch, we will explore Bich Dong pagoda, one of the typical pagoda in the red river delta of northern Vietnam. Crossing the stone bridge to the ancient gate of Bich Dong pagoda. Discover The “Lower pagoda” then more than 100 steps to Chua Trung (Middle pagoda). A special pagoda in the cave and the unique clay statues. Walking up through the cave will lead you to the highest pagoda (Chua Thuong) which not only provides you with the history but also offers a great view from there.

Later, transfer to Hang Mua (Mua cave) to enjoy hiking to the Ngoa Long Mountain. Conquer 500 steps to reach the peak. That would be worth it for a great panorama view from the top.

Return to Hanoi. Arrive at your hotel late in the day.

DAY 6: HANOI – HALONG BAY (B, L, D)

Breakfast at the hotel.

8h30: Departure for Halong Bay.

11h30 Arrive at Le Regina Royal waiting lounge  – Lot 24, Tuan Chau Marina – Ha Long, enjoy welcome

drink and express check-in before boarding.

12:30 Transferred to La Regina Royal cruise by a tender boat, enjoy Welcome Drink from crew member while manager introduce the safety briefing and clearing our the itinerary.

12:45 – 13:00 Lunch is served at our cozy restaurant. As the cruise departs towards Halong Bay – a natural wonder of the world, absorb yourself in the gorgeous scenery and famous sights of limestone

15:00 Your first excursion is a visit to Luon Cave. This is considered as one of the most ideal places in Halong for kayaking  or rowing boat. After that,  you can visit Titov Island, where you can go swimming or hike to the top for another stunning, panoramic view of the Bay.

17:30 Return to the cruise and enjoy the Bay sunset while enjoying the “Happy Hour” special. You may also join our chef in the kitchen to learn how to make traditional spring rolls.

19h30: Enjoy our special dinner on the sundeck (if the wearther is permit) or in the restaurant.

After dinner, it’s your choice for a fun squid fishing, spa (charge fees), karaoke or relaxing

DAY 7: HALONG BAY – TRANSFER TO HANOI – TRANSFER TO AIRPORT (B, L)

6h00: Greet the new day on the sundeck with Tai-Chi Exercise.

6h30: Light breakfast is served at the restaurant.

7h30: After the breakfast, Your next excursion is a visit to the magnificent Sung Sot Cave (Surprising cave) –  the biggest and the most beautiful cave in Halong Bay  – where you can take in the panoramic views across Halong Bay.

9h00: Come back to La Regina Royal Cruise, relax and pack the luggage. Leave the luggage outside the door. Our team will collect and get them ready on the Pier.

9h45: Vietnamese cuisine buffet is served at the restaurant while the boat heads back to the harbor

11h00: Disembark at the harbor, farewell to guests.

Our driver will welcome you and transfer you to Hanoi.

You will arrive in Hanoi around 3:00 PM. You’ll have free time to explore the city on your own.

At 8:00 PM, you’ll be transferred to Noi Bai Airport to catch your return flight.
